RHINOPLASTY
RHINOPLASTY
Rhinoplasty
is a specialized surgical intervention performed with the aim of correcting
nasal aesthetics. This procedure is intended to address various concerns such
as altering the size of the nose, correcting the angle with the upper lip,
positioning the nasal tip, and rectifying congenital defects or issues arising
from trauma.
During
rhinoplasty, experts gain access to the nasal bone and cartilage support system
through incisions made inside the nose or on the upper skin. These incisions
are typically placed inside and are designed to be invisible after the surgery.
Depending on the desired outcome of the procedure, bone and cartilage may be
removed or reshaped by adding additional tissue. Following the application, the
surgeon adjusts the bone and cartilage to fit the desired shape.
During
the healing period, an external splint may be placed on the outside of the nose
to support the newly formed nasal structure. The term "rhinoplasty"
is derived from the Greek words "rhino," meaning nose, and
"plastikos," meaning to shape. This technique primarily involves
accessing the bone and cartilage support through internal incisions. Incisions
made to separate the nostrils are typically placed in a way that they will be
invisible. Once the bone and cartilage are adjusted, the incisions are closed.
Nose
aesthetics may involve various corrections such as straightening the nasal
bridge, reducing or enlarging the nasal tip, and harmonizing it with the rest
of the face. Soft tampons may be placed inside the nose during the healing
process to maintain the softness of the septum wall. Rhinoplasty is a
personalized procedure for each patient and is generally associated with
minimal discomfort.
The
nose, being a significant aesthetic element in facial beauty, contributes significantly
to facial aesthetics. However, it is essential to emphasize that the skin,
lips, eyes, and hair are areas that should always remain vibrant and fresh
before the nose. Therefore, our perspective on nasal aesthetics differs from
other aesthetic surgical clinics. Each patient's facial contour and skin
structure are unique. Applying a standard nose type to everyone, even if it
results in a beautiful nose, can create an incompatible appearance with the
face. The nose should be harmonious with the eyes, lips, chin, and cheekbones;
thus, the design should consider all these elements.
Nose
aesthetics can not only enhance appearance but also correct breathing problems.
Since every patient has a different facial structure and preferences, nose
aesthetics requires personalized designs. While patient preferences are
essential, the demand for an ultra-thin nasal structure may indicate efforts
that could lead to complications in fulfilling this request. Therefore,
requests for nose aesthetics should be evaluated considering the patient's
desires, anatomical structure, and facial contour line.
A
nose shaped with elegant lines and a harmonious contour structure is achievable
in almost every healthy individual. Therefore, focusing on the entire face is
crucial when performing nose aesthetics. The purpose of nose aesthetics is to
solve problems and achieve an aesthetic appearance that is harmonious with
facial contours.
Nose
aesthetics can not only improve appearance but also correct breathing problems.
Since every patient has a different facial structure and preferences, nose
aesthetics requires personalized designs. The results of nose aesthetics
surgery vary depending on the desired correction. The alignment of expectations
between the patient and the plastic surgeon is crucial. If expectations are
realistic and align with shared goals with the surgeon, the likelihood of
achieving the desired results is high.
Every
year, half a million people choose to change the appearance of their noses
through nose aesthetics operations. Various reasons may underlie this
preference, such as an aesthetically displeasing nose from birth, signs of
aging, changes resulting from injury, or breathing problems.
During
the postoperative period, patients typically feel minimal pain and can alleviate
it if necessary using pain relievers. It is important to follow the surgeon's
instructions during the healing process. Nasal breathing may be limited in the
first few days, but it improves over time. Swelling and mild bruising are
normal and decrease over time.
There
are different types of nose aesthetics, including functional rhinoplasty,
septum correction, correction of enlarged turbinates, removal of nasal polyps,
and aesthetic rhinoplasty. Each operation is planned according to the needs and
expectations of the patient.
Postoperative
care and follow-up are crucial for success. Any problems that may arise after
surgical intervention should be reported to the surgeon immediately. Techniques
such as massages, sprays, or medication injections recommended by the doctor
can be used during the healing process.
As a service approach, procedures are
carried out with personalized designs and in line with the expectations of the
patient. Utilizing the latest technology during surgery allows the patient to
see the results digitally. FY Health Center has been serving patients in Turkey
